The idea behind Kidvana came from our 2 year old son when we were eating at a restaurant. Instead of using the fork that was next to his plate, he decided to use a toy dinosaur's tail, sticking it into the food and then putting it in his mouth. We realized that the utensils on the market were designed for low cost manufacturing, but not for ease of use or interest of a child. So we leveraged a user group of parents and children, along with several different types of child development specialists to come up with a utensil design better suited for young children trying to learn to eat.
